Since we don’t describe every detail of the new products we get, it may be fun to pick some random item and describe it in a bit more detail. So, today we are showing you this “Rilakkuma Fluffly Meal Re-Ment” set #7. It is titled “dinner is korokke(croquette) & curry”. Korokkes (a kind of croquettes) are very popular in Japan. Inside is usually mashed potatoes with meat or vegetables. Outside is coated with bread crumbs and deep fried. These are often sold in department stores and grocery stores so usually you wouldn’t make them from scratch. Some speciality stores have freshly fried ones constantly in stock so that you can buy nice hot ones. Curry (stew) is another favorite food in Japan. It is a kind of stew of vegetables and meat, flavoured with curry. It is a lot thicker and spicier than regular stew so that rather than eating it alone, it is served with rice. Curry & rice is one of the most favorite dishes among school age children. Curry, croquettes & rice can be often eaten together and you can see them in a restaurant menu. In this set, Re-Ment makes Rilakkuma themed miniature version of a croquette, curry and rice together with salad.

This is the back of the paper insert. You will need to cut out this place mat to use under the dish.
Now we placed the dish exactly how it was shown in the picture, but you notice that the place mat is in different colour. I guess their design changed from the original plan. The set comes with a spoon and a bottle of salad dressing.
Lettuce and corn are together, but a slice of ham is separate. Rilakkuma face is cut out and curved.
Look closely at this ham. It is not flat. It is replicating the flexible nature of ham.
Close up picture of the boiled egg. Kiiroitori face is drawn.
Rilakkuma korokke! Probably cheese is used to make white parts. You can see the melting effect of cheese.
